One Ring Networks Praises FCC for 3650 MHz Band Decision
Non-exclusive licensing allows for more efficient spectrum usage
ATLANTA (June 18, 2007)
When the FCC recently upheld a 2005 decision to continue to offer licensing for the 3650 MHz band spectrum on a licensed, but non-exclusive basis, the agency provided the industry with an unique licensing approach that will lead to innovative services.
"The offerings in the marketplace has been to a certain extent limited by the available spectrum and their associated licensing models,"e; said Matt Liotta, CEO of One Ring Networks. " With this decision, the FCC has created an innovative licensing scheme that will enable us to offer unique services that weren't previously economical.. That's not only a business interest, it's in the public's interest."
Access to the 3650 MHz spectrum, which ranges between the 3650 and 3700 MHz bands, has made it possible for fixed wireless service providers like One Ring Networks to offer services to businesses of all sizes that were previously only affordable by large enterprises.
